It feels really good to move things to your scraps. I love it.

It was all stuff that probably belonged there to begin with though.
There were other pieces that I wanted to toss in there too but I think I've come to like having a visual timeline so I can see all the different stages and hopefully improvements I've gone thru as an artist.

A boatload of new stuff is hopefully coming by this weekend.

I've been watching Heroes a lot, I just finished the season 1 dvd a little while ago and I'm finding it pretty entertaining. The powers seem so...big and bold though. How could regular people not see that something's up with people flying thru the air all the time and walking into huge infernos and surviving.

I think it'd be interesting if the powers were less conspicuous and more ordinary but still weird. The show would be less actiony but I think some of the lesser powers could be interesting with the right people.

So I'm gonna make a list of weird odd simple powers and you can pick which one appeals to you the most! Let's see how far I can get



- You can turn invisible but only from 1:00 am to 1:30 am.

- You can teleport but no matter where you are you always teleport to just outside Seattle.

- You can stop time but only for 3 seconds at a time and each time you do it you take a month off your life.

- You can read minds, but only of people named George who are 35.

- You can ignite matches and paper with your mind.

- You can tie any known knot in record time.

- You can levitate, but only 3 inches off the ground.

- You can change the color of your hair, but only 1 shade lighter or darker to what you have now.

- You can make burnt out lightbulbs new again.

- When you chew gum it never loses its flavour.

- You can cook any dish known to man but it all tastes like dog food to you.

- You can hold your breath for 20 minutes under water but you have to keep your eyes closed.

- You can hear 100 miles into the distance but only if you stand on one foot.

- You can turn banana peels into paper.

- You can see into the future when you pee but only into the future of a man named Sam who lives in Alaska.

- You can keep soup at the perfect temperature always.

- You can open the top drawer of any dresser with your mind.

- You can make it rain but only in 1 square meter for 5 minutes.

- You can tell if people are telling the truth or not but 4 times a month the power lies to you.

- You can turn lights on by clapping...oh wait...nevermind.

- You can heal from regular cuts and scrapes but your ears ooze yellow goo afterwards.

- You can leap into the future 1 day but only for 25 seconds.



Well I think that's it for now, I should stop before they get silly...er.

And hey while we're at it, what's your favourite "mainstream" super power?
Mine would be the ability to freeze time and move around in it, I think that would be pretty cool.

I can hardly stand looking at the first 3/4 of my gallery now. Especially pictures of myself, apparently I went thru some huge camera whore phase and I don't remember. And a lot of my artwork I also find lacking something and unfinished. Not to mention looking quite crappy compared to pieces I dislike less.

Everytime I look thru it I feel a huge urge to delete stuff or move it to scraps so I'll never have to look at it again.

But the argument against deleting/moving it I'm having with myself is that I'm looking at this more as a timeline of my work and myself and how I've grown and hopefully improved rather than just a collection of what I think is my best work.
