The Sad Fairy

I was debating about if I should post this one or not...but in the end I decided I would...obviously...since you're reading this.

BUT...know this :

For Christmas I was doing a painting for my mom, but the week leading up to Christmas she had me doing work all around the house so I never got a chance to actually start painting it. I just did the pencil version and transfered it to the watercolor paper.
But it's been almost 2 years since I've actually done a watercolor painting so I decided I should make sure I still knew how to DO it!
So I sketched this randomness out and did it on a scrap of watercolor paper that was the right size.
It scanned really yellowy so I had to fix that in Photoshop to get the colors true to the original. They're still a but off but...who cares

So this is just a PRACTICE PAINTING to get me back into the watecolor mindset. I was experimenting and remembering all the techniques I've learned so there's quite a few mistakes in this (to my eye anyway)
Also the one for my mom is completely different from this one.
